When a school gets things wrong it can make for headline news. So please can we have a pat on the back for Portslade Community College.

Since my child started in September, the amount of help she has been given to settle in and deal with a bullying problem has been nothing short of exceptional.

Of course, the school's not perfect - no school is - but the staff and Mr Tait, the headmaster, clearly work very hard and care about the children.

No doubt you will get letters saying otherwise but, just for once, isn't it nice to praise a school?
