Kim Meadows' letter, "Day in the life of a cyclist" (February 4), talks about the appalling attitude shown towards cyclists in Brighton. Is she surprised?
I used to go to Brighton but I don't any more. Cyclists there are selfish and dangerous. I have seen them cycling up the wrong way in a oneway street and giving out abuse when anyone dared tell them off.
They use the pavements as their own cycle tracks with complete disregard to pedestrians. I have had them come up behind me and, because I didn't get out of their way when they wanted, use some appalling language.
My wife has been abused and spat at by cyclists. Get your own house in order, Kim. Stop bleating and just accept the cyclists of Brighton are not liked.
A lot of cyclists do, in fact, own cars too. Go to Ditchling Beacon car park any weekend - it's full of them.
The hill there is their own personal training ground.
