Now the Government has decided to award £7 million to the local authority willing to lead the creation of a "wired-up community" and £120,000 to ten regional finalists, could I appeal to Brighton and Hove City Council to review its inexplicable opposition to the webcasting of its meetings?
Private industry is also prepared to join in with cash and discounts worth £4 million for the winner and £80,000 for each finalist.
The money is there for the winning. All it needs is the resolve to win it.
