A couple have been arrested in connection with the death of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash.
Michelle Dever, 30, died in a collision with a Fiesta near her home in Brighton Road, Lancing, on Thursday night last week.
The driver left the scene and the car was found later at nearby Beach Green. A 22-year-old Worthing man was arrested in London on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and his 28-year-old partner, from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
He has been released on police bail until May 27 and she has been freed to answer bail on March 2.
Ms Dever, a nurse and practice manager at Shoreham Dental Centre, attended City College, Brighton.
Farbod Jabad, who owns Shoreham Dental Centre, said: "She was a lovely girl, will be sadly missed and very hard to replace."
Ms Dever's family, devastated by the tragedy, has called for the stretch of Brighton Road where the accident happened, near the Kia garage, to be made safer.
