It seems extraordinary a resident of Ladies Mile Road in Patcham has taken the time to count the cars parked in Tongdean Road every day, particularly as she has "no personal interest in the Little Dippers business" (Letters, February 1). One wonders also at which times of day Ms Sayers visited.
Residents in the road have built up an archive of more than 200 photographs showing parked cars before, during and after swimming classes.
If the cars did number "usually nearer half a dozen", as Ms Sayers claims, 89 residents would not have objected to planning permission on the grounds of traffic concerns at this busy junction.
Ms Sayers also claims most houses in Tongdean Road enjoy "enormous driveways". Most, in fact, do not, as she would see if she ventured farther down the road.
But the house where the pool is rented does indeed enjoy an enormous driveway.
This is why residents campaigned to have clients park on that driveway, should planning permission be granted.
No one objects to providing a good service for children but safety is of paramount importance to all.
