Staff and customers are celebrating a double win for their village pub.
Six years after saving it from demolition, it has won a national award for its pub grub.
The Morning Advertiser Best Pub Awards declared The Gun Inn at Findon, near Worthing, the Best Food Pub of the Year as well as best pub in the Meridian region.
But only six years ago, developers wanted to knock down the building to make way for flats.
Owner Nick Georgiou is thrilled with the news. He said: "There was a Save The Gun campaign with 2,000 signatures. We went to pick up the regional award and found out we'd won the food award. Our food isn't pretentious, it's consistent, good quality fresh food at pub prices."
The pub was visited on three occasions by mystery diners and the winners were announced in London.
