Having read the story about Lewes District Council (LDC) naming Brighton and Hove Albion and Brighton and Hove City Council as defendants in the ongoing stadium appeal, I am astonished Neil Commin, Lewes's lead councillor for planning, has stated, if these two parties wanted to be represented at the High Court hearing, "that is up to them".
Up to them? Has he no grip on reality? I thought if you were named as a defendant, you had to turn up and defend yourself. Or is this a delaying tactic for a case LDC can't win?
No doubt, the council tax of LDC residents will rocket. I just hope they don't expect us to say we told you so.
