East Sussex workers are at the bottom of the South-East pay league, new figures have revealed.
The average gross hourly pay for employees in the South-East is £13.03 - four per cent more than the UK-wide average of £12.50.
But East Sussex workers earn an average £10.55 per hour or just 84 per cent of the UK average, according to research by trade union GMB.
This makes East Sussex the second worst area in the South-East after Isle of Wight, where the average is £10.03.
