People have been enjoying fireworks from about October 28 up to and after November 5.
At the same time, we have had to comfort our two terrified dogs, too scared to go for their evening walk.
These dogs came to us after a bad start in life. One had been so badly beaten, she just hung her head.
It has taken years to gain their trust and see them live a peaceful life. But at this time of year, they revert to the shaking wrecks we first encountered.
It is about time manufacturers stopped making fireworks so loud and concentrated on their visual effects.
Other pet owners must find these explosions scare their animals. So, come on manufacturers, make pretty but silent fireworks.
