Cries of two fat ladies and clickety click are leading a bingo caller to national stardom.

Brett Hyrjak, 28, has worked at the Gala Club at Butlins, Bognor, for three years and took the title of top bingo caller in the South in September.

Now bookmaker William Hill has listed him as 2/1 favourite to win the National Bingo Caller of the Year competition, being held in Catford, London, at the end of the month.

He said: "It's great to know William Hill rates me so highly. I know I can win and I'm determined to bring the trophy home."

If he is named Britain's best bingo caller he will win a holiday in Las Vegas, Nevada, and £500 spending money and the chance to call bingo in a large American casino.
