While not in the habit of writing letters to local newspapers, I have to say, with so much doom, gloom, destruction and general violence going on in our communities, I found the photographs by Tony Wood of the release of geese and ducks back on to Queen's Park pond (The Argus, November 4) such an inspiration.
What good news it was that these birds have returned to their natural home and, oh boy, did these wonderful photographs show it.
A big thank you to Julian Wynn from Lloyds Environmental for stepping in when the "big boys", such as Southern Water, would have seen the birds perish - even though it is the company we pay for our water.
I would also say a big thank you to Roger Musselle. He is a guardian angel to our wildlife.
And thanks to Tony Wood for capturing such wonderful shots.
