Looking at the glossy brochure by Karis Holdings was staggering. These topsy-turvy towers should be built.
Forget the King Alfred site, the ideal spot would surely be the old Beeding cement works.
Hidden away below the Downs, blending with the landscape, glass towers reflecting the river - just a shock away from the bypass. Not even a football pitch could better that.
Think of the choice - one tower either side of the road or built alongside the hill, gorgeous views for flat-owners, plenty of parking space and a tourist attraction to boot.
Choose the architects who designed the flats replacing Portland Gate, Portland Road, to build at the King Alfred site. A bit of class, not glass. Something elegant.
