To quote the text on the many "Heritage of Hove" signs seen across our community, "some tower blocks were built during the Sixties but now the emphasis is on the conservation of Hove's unique heritage".
So why is Brighton and Hove City Council encouraging the construction of these monstrous and unfriendly tower blocks on the site of King Alfred, bounded by no less than three conservation areas - Pembroke and Princes, Old Hove and Cliftonville?
Yes, I am a Nimby. Although I live on the north side of Palmeira Square, if this development is allowed to be built, it will ruin all of Hove.
It will also open the floodgates, allowing developers to build these hideous tower blocks everywhere in Brighton and Hove.
