Relatives and friends of a talented artist who died this year have gathered together some of her best paintings for an exhibition in her memory.
Jo Keeling, 27, painted striking planetary-scapes until she collapsed and died of an aneurysm on May 14.
Now Jo's parents Maggie and David Keeling and her best friend and fellow artist Perdita Sinclair have installed a total of 24 works in the Burstow Gallery at Brighton College.
The collection comprises a series of bold and beautiful lunar-type landscapes which Jo created using unusual materials such as zinc, aluminium and pewter powders, chemicals, acid and varnish.
Mr Keeling said: "We thought an exhibition would be a fitting tribute. Jo always loved art. It was always a huge part of her life.
"I have seen her work at so many times and stages but to see it all here together is stunning. We are very proud."
He said Jo's family, including her younger brother and sister, Rich, 21, and Emma, 25, were looking forward to celebrating Jo's life and talent on Friday at a private viewing with friends and relatives.
Mr Keeling said: "We have been planning this for months and have heard some very positive feedback from staff at the college who have seen some of the paintings. You get caught up in the euphoria and it's a great feeling but when everyone has gone and we sit down I think it will be very sad.
"It's coming up for six months since Jo died and it's been quite a struggle.
"We have had fabulous support from friends in all sorts of different ways but it is still hard."
He said the family was donating a painting to the college in return for the use of the gallery space and they intended to donate another piece to the intensive care unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital where Jo was treated.
Visitors will be able to purchase prints of Jo's work and all proceeds will go to the hospital.
Jo, who lived with her family in Lloyd Road, Hove, exhibited some of her work with Miss Sinclair at the Brighton Festival in 2003.
Last October they exhibited their work at the prestigious Waterloo Gallery in London.
Jo's work was displayed in Claremont House Hotel in Hove as well as in Bath, Lewes and the Zimmer Stewart Gallery in Arundel. She was due to exhibit more work at the Canvas Gallery, Seven Dials, this year.
Viewings take place at the college in Eastern Road from today until December 10.
