There's a feeling you get after you've attended your first gig, where it's far too overwhelming to listen to that band's music for a while afterwards.
So, unexpectedly, over a decade on, I was reminded of that same feeling once again.
Following on from Frenchthemed funsters La Frange, TFT lead singer Joe Winter altered the tone completely with his murderous stares, oddball behaviour and strained, metallic vocals.
The vast, orchestral pop-rock choruses of tracks Them Or It, When We Are Gone and current single Before The Light Goes, had the effect of transforming the intimate venue into a great domed hall with stunning acoustics.
Falling somewhere between Joy Division, The Beach Boys and the London Philharmonic Orchestra (and, in my humble opinion, surpassing all three) The Fallout Trust are unlikely to appeal to the ears of the mainstream market.
Instead, cult status beckons for the six-piece Eel Pie Island warehouse residents. Trust me.
