Brighton and Hove City Council cannot even deal with arranging the proper collection and disposal of the corpses of dead pigeons from under the viaduct on New England Street, yet it has now launched a crusade against fly-tipping.

The idea of "operation scrap it" would be laughable if I wasn't one of the thousands of residents who have to dodge the rotting carcasses of dead birds on a daily basis.

I suggest the council organises proper collection of this hazard before it concerns itself with a few dumped TVs.
