The man who recreates Guy Fawkes every year for a bonfire group is celebrating two anniversaries this year.
Martin Durrant, of the Lindfield Bonfire Society, has been making guys for 25 years and 2005 marks 400 years since the Gunpowder Plot.
Mr Durrant has spent 30 hours making this year's guy out of wood, chicken wire, papier mache and fabric.
He said: "You would think I would be experienced by now but he looks a bit like Marty Feldman (the British comedian famous for his bulging eyes).
"Last year, he was too tall to go under the telegraph wires and we had to redirect the parade but I'll be walking the route first this year to check."
At 14ft, the guy may still have to bend to get through the whole parade.
This year's Lindfield bonfire night on November 5 will be the biggest ever and the society has spent their entire kitty on fireworks. There will be a street collection for children's charities.
