I would like to say how much I enjoyed the fine 20-year anniversary tribute to the late Matt Monro at the Pavilion Theatre, Worthing, by his son Matt Jnr.
He certainly was a chip off the old block. The songs he sung included Portrait Of My Love, Walk Away and Born Free.
He looked and sung similar to his father, which brought back wonderful memories for me.
I can recall years ago when I visited Matt in his dressing room and saw a young Matt Jnr assisting.
The orchestra was conducted by Colin Keyes - a talented conductor, arranger and pianist who had toured the world with Matt Monro Snr.
Singer Roy Leslie, who appeared in the first half of the show, is on a nationwide tour with Matt Jnr and I wish them every success.
