Albion manager Mark McGhee has backed his team to start turning draws into wins after another stalemate against his old club Wolves at Withdean last night left him with mixed emotions.
The Seagulls drew 1-1 at home for the second match in succession, substitute Colin Cameron scoring a late equaliser for Wanderers after Alexandre Frutos struck in the first half.
McGhee, celebrating his second year in charge, said: "We are going to have to win a game eventually but, if we keep playing like that, I think we will.
"It's a wee bit frustrating. We got the lead and it was a case of trying to hang on to it.
"We didn't manage to do that, which is disappointing, but again I am greatly encouraged by the level of our performance for an hour. It was top notch, so I've no complaints.
"We needed the second goal and, late in the game, we ran out of a bit of energy but I am reasonably satisfied with one each.
"We are still a team that I think are doing fantastically well to make Wolves look second best for long periods of the game. Even without their two top strikers (Carl Cort and Kenny Miller) they still had a lot of good players and we showed them at times how to play."
Albion's third draw out of four has lifted them three places to 19th, above Coventry, Sheffield Wednesday, Plymouth and Crewe on goal difference.
Centre half Paul McShane is suspended for Saturday's visit to Stoke after collecting his fifth booking of the season last night for a first half fracas with Leon Clarke who was also cautioned.
