On November 14, I shall be 80 and have been informed, via the radio and national newspapers, I shall receive a pension increase of 25 pence per week.
However, I have since received a letter from the office which supplies Pension Credit that the £6.32 per week I currently receive is to be reduced by 10p, which means that instead of receiving an increase of 25p I shall be getting only 15p.
No doubt there will be more pensioners who will be treated in the same manner but if the Government's need is greater than ours, what chance do we stand?
