In reply to Donald Harris (Letters, October 18), I beg to differ.
No pensioner should be expected to pay such a high rate of council tax out of the small state pension we receive. This is scandalous.
Pensioners should only pay this tax in proportion to their pension.
However, if Mr Harris is happy to be ripped off, that's his affair.
