Newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky will be enjoying the first of many lie-ins today after beginning work on a later show.
The award-winning presenter, from Barcombe, near Lewes, will be the new face of the Six O'Clock News as she stands in for Sophie Raworth while she goes on maternity leave.
Kaplinsky, 32, who has been fronting the BBC Breakfast slot for three years, has occasionally complained about the 3.15am starts, claiming they are the only thing she disliked about the job.
The presenter, who recently married banker Justin Bower following a star performance in the first series of BBC competition Strictly Come Dancing, will join George Alagiah until Raworth returns to work.
Newsreaders Sian Williams and Mishal Husain will fill the breakfast slot until Kaplinsky returns.
