A tribute night will be held to honour a popular drag artiste who performed all over the world.
Phil Starr, manager of Starrs Hotel and Bar in New Steine, Brighton, was well known on the Brighton and Hove entertainment circuit.
Friends have booked the Brighton Dome on Sunday, January 29 for a celebration of Phil's life with appearances by stars of the stage and screen.
His funeral is due to take place next weekend.
The 73-year-old had been a drag queen for more than 50 years.
His last show was on October 16 at Legends in Marine Parade.
Phil had been the first performer at Legends when the bar, now closed for refurbishment, opened 14 years ago.
Phil had recently taken over managing the hotel and piano bar at Starrs Hotel. During his career, Phil raised thousands of pounds for charity, including for children orphaned by the Asian tsunami.
He was born James Arthur Fuller in Croydon on March 31, 1932.
Before his death, Phil had been working on a BBC sitcom called Over The Rainbow with EastEnders actress June Brown but filming had not yet begun.
He died unexpectedly at home on Monday, October 17. The funeral will take place on Sunday, November 6. The cortege will leave Starrs Hotel, 19 New Steine, at 11.20am and will travel through Marine Parade and Madeira Place to St Mary's Church in St James's Street for a service at midday.
This will be followed by the cremation at Woodvale Crematorium.
