All I can ask of Mr Mason (Letters, October 26), writing about the tunnels at South Heighton, is why does he keep repeating himself?
I've heard it before. I have emailed him my plans and my only reply was that my comments had been noted.
Two of my relatives were killed in the Second World War, so I don't buy that old chestnut that to fill in the tunnels is a poor way to repay the sacrifice of those who dug them.
And maybe Mr Doe (Letters, October 26) would like to buy my house - then he could have his own tunnel.
I am not the only one opposed to these tunnel tours. Other home-owners weren't contacted but agree the tunnels should be filled in.
