Two isolated postal workers are the only inhabitants on a remote island. It is their job to sort through the lost mail of an entire country.
While looking through the mountain of paper, the two outcasts can't resist a peep at the letters and end up getting sucked into the letter-writers' lives.
They find themselves seduced by stories and, as time goes on, they need to find something real before they go doolally.
So, the strange pair act out the letters' tales of love and loss, while trying to conceal their own feelings from one another.
Now, this may appear rather cryptic at first but everything becomes clear as the play goes on and the show's writers hope it will make audiences think.
Created by young theatre company ChoppedLogic, who have just received an Arts Council Research and Development grant, Paramour is a combination of original writing and physical play.
Humorous, moving and sometimes awkward, the piece, which has been adapted for Brighton audiences, examines the art of communication, through characters bound together by the lives of strangers.
Starts 7pm, tickets £7.50 and £6. Call 01273 702563.
