I thought I would give Newhaven Somerfield supermarket a try. It's a nice store, with fast checkouts and short queues.
But after putting the shopping in the car, I found I had to pay 75p. Sainsbury's, 11 miles away, has free parking and is always busy. I wonder why?
As a new customer and an ex-customer, it's goodbye from me and it's goodbye from him, as the Two Ronnies might have said.
Somerfield could do with a take-over bid and should be easy to turn around.
