Two legends of the ring are coming to Brighton and Hove.

Sports-plus.net are hosting an audience with Nigel Benn, the former WBC super-middleweight champion, and the ex-WBO super-middleweight champion Steve Collins at the Hove Metropole on December 7.

There will also be five amateur bouts at the dinner show organised by co-promoter Scott Welch, the former British heavyweight champion, who is now a coach at Hove Amateur Boxing Club.

Benn is best known for two epic and brutal battles with Brightons Chris Eubank.

The Dark Destroyer lost the first fight on a ninth-round stoppage in November 1990, and had to wait until October 9, 1993 for the re-match at Old Trafford in front of 42,000 fight fans.

Another classic encounter ended in a controversial draw, with Benn adamant he was robbed.

Dublin-born Collins, the Celtic Warrior, inflicted Eubanks first ever defeat when he took the WBO super-middleweight title from him in 1995.

FORMER Junior ABA champion and England silver medalist Lee Jenman (Adur and District ABC) meets Bognors Alex Gibbens in the Southern Counties finals of the Senior ABAs at Effingham Park next Friday night.

The big hitters clash in the final after making their way through the preliminaries at 75-81kg on Saturday in Aldershot.

Jenman, 21, who is making his ring comeback this season, won a silver medal in an Olympicstyle international invitation tournament in America on his England debut in 200., Gibben also has fought for England.
