Traders in festive mood are hunting for volunteers and stall holders to help run their Christmas market.
Building on the success of their Summer Carnival, shopkeepers in Kemp Town, Brighton, have pulled together to organise their yearly yuletide event.
Plans include a parade by lantern through the village prior to an official ceremony for turning on the lights.
Visitors will find a traditional gift market, great entertainment and an array of places to eat and drink. Traders also aim to raise money for their chosen charity, The Brighton Heart Support Trust.
Gill Mitchell, chairwoman of Brighton and Hove City Council's environment committee, said: "I'm all in favour of an event which involves traders, residents and community groups pulling together to celebrate at a special time of year."
Events are planned for Sunday, November 27, from 10am.
In addition to their usual opening hours, many shops within the village will be open every Sunday until Christmas from this date.
