So supporters of the King Alfred scheme have set up a group -Hove Up - to promote it (The Argus, October 10), as they feel their side of the case is not represented enough. How strange.
In Hove, residents have received a glossy booklet from the developer, Karis, promoting the scheme and, of course, Brighton and Hove City Council is pushing it like mad.
Perhaps it shows how deeply unpopular the scheme is that it requires yet another group to promote it.
Wouldn't the best way to gauge the level of support for the seafront development be to hold a poll in Hove? We had one for the football stadium. I am certainly in favour.
If the council is too scared to arrange one, how about we unseat all Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green councillors representing Hove at the first opportunity?
They have all supported the scheme.
