Luke Cresswell, is joint pioneer of dance phenomenon Stomp.
A self-taught percussionist, he first performed as a busker in street band Pookiesnackenburger with business partner Steve McNicholas.
Now the pair, both based in Brighton, have achieved international fame with their show, which features eight performers using boots, bins, brooms, Zippo lighters, plumber's plungers and everything including the kitchen sink to bombard the audience with noise.
There is little or no melody in the traditional sense so it doesn't matter if your taste in music is jazz, classical, dance or pop. Stomp is all about rhythm, the basis of all music and common to all cultures and everyone with a heartbeat gets it.
Luke believes the human body is better than any instrument. "It's something you've always got with you and it's free," he says.
Stomp premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 1995 and won The Daily Express Best of the Fringe Award. A decade on and they have an Olivier Award and five international touring companies and, last month, Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey won Best Film, the most prestigious award in the Imax industry.
Starts 7.30pm (Wed and Sat mat 2.30pm). Tickets cost £12-£24. Call 01273 709709.
