Since reading about the Wig Walk (The Argus, October 17), I cannot get the words of a very old song out of my mind and wondered if any readers could tell me when it was recorded and who sang it.
I believe it dates from around the late-Forties or early-Fifties.
Wouldn't it be nice if it was recorded for the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity? There would need to be a change to the lyrics, which I've copied below, or a few more could be added.
Tennessee Wig Walk
Doing the Tennessee wig walk.
And you'll wiggle
Like a baby duck.
Well we have the Birdie Song, why not the Duck Song?
