Unfortunately, there was nothing new in your front-page "revelation" that developers Onyx may withdraw its current plan for the Hollingdean recycling site and submit a new, slightly different, one (The Argus, October 13).
It was stated at the public meeting in the summer that this could happen.
If Onyx is going back to the drawing board, it has a golden opportunity to produce a genuinely new plan for a far more suitable site - for instance, at Hangleton Bottom.
Brighton and Hove City Council should be encouraging it to do so, rather than the company just tinkering with a plan which has been overwhelmingly rejected by local people.
