A boxer's family have today spoken of their devastation after the promising amateur was killed in a motorbike accident.
Danny Hall, 26, was taking a bend on his Suzuki GSXR 600 when it collided with a car on the A284 at Arundel and burst into flames on Saturday.
The father-of-three, crowned Southern Counties super heavyweight novice champion last season and due to turn professional in December, died at the scene.
The woman driving the car, a Honda Civic, suffered minor injuries.
Mr Hall lived with his wife, Tracey, 31, and their two sons, Tommy, aged four, and Reilly, 20 months, in Central Avenue, Bognor.
Mrs Hall said: "Danny was my world. As I was going up to bed on Thursday, he pulled me on to the sofa for a cuddle and said: 'I love you.'
"I asked: 'Where does this come from'? He said: 'From my heart.' When the police told me he was involved in a fatal head-on collision, I started screaming."
Mr Hall, co-owner of UK Scaffolding, was riding with business partner, Glenn Pearce, when the accident happened.
Mr Pearce said: "He was in front of me and as I came up the hill, all I could see in the distance was an explosion.
"As I drove up, I saw a car smashed up on the side of the road and Danny lying on the floor. We were best friends. He was full of life. It's such a waste."
Mr Hall's father, Danny, lost another child, 20-month-old Tina Chandler, in a tragic accident 26 years ago when he was manouevring his lorry and accidentally struck his daughter as she played.
Mr Hall senior, 63, of The Nurseries, Bognor, later brought up Danny and his brother Steve as a single parent, although Danny did regain a close relationship with his mother Sue, six years ago.
He said: "Danny started boxing when he was six. He was a powerful little boy. He is everybody's hero. He was a good boxer and was going to make it. We have a big family and they adore him.
"He always had a smile. If I was down he would be here in two minutes."
Mr Hall junior, who had another child, six-year-old Carla, with a previous partner, went to Chichester High School for Boys and Bognor Community College.
As a youngster, he played for Bognor Rugby Club and swam for Bognor Swimming Club.
He gained a purple belt in karate but stopped to concentrate on boxing.
He trained at St Gerard's Boxing Club in Chichester, and his trainer, Gerry Lavelle, was like a second father .
Mr Lavelle, 43, said: "A relationship between a coach and his boxer is very intimate because you share the blood, sweat and tears that go on in a ring.
"Danny was an absolutely fantastic young man. His death has had a huge knock-on effect at the club."
