I was so moved by the story of Sandra Carey (The Argus, October 13).
My mother died in April this year. She had breast cancer and it was not diagnosed until it was in her stomach, ovaries etc and although she, too, had a hysterectomy, they did not remove the breast because it was already too late.
It spread to her bones and she died two days after moving to a hospice.
Sandra has just the spirit my mother had and although my mother was young (she was 55), Sandra has not even had the pleasure of watching her children grow into adulthood.
My warmest wishes go to her and her family.
I wish them every happiness for their wedding and early Christmas.
Sandra's children can grow up very proud of their amazing mother and can always cherish The Argus front page as a celebration of her bravery.
