The father of a missing teenager has launched his own desperate campaign to find his daughter after she disappeared more than two weeks ago.
Cliff Baker is handing out posters of his 14-year-old daughter Sherrie across the South-East more than two weeks after she disappeared from her home in Chadborn Close in Brighton.
Photographs of the teenager have gone up in Brighton, London and Southampton after Mr Baker kickstarted an appeal to find the youngster who disappeared on September 27 following a row with her mother.
Sherrie is believed to be with 24-year-old Gareth Russell, a family friend, also known as Mr Minchin.
Mr Baker, 43, who works in construction, said: "We have had weeks of not knowing whether Sherrie is alive or dead it has been indescribable.
"It is difficult to do anything because of the worry and anxiety and all I want to do is concentrate my efforts on finding my daughter.
"I know the situation is getting worse but I don't want to stop looking because I am Sherrie's father and I want to find her."
The posters showing pictures of Sherrie and Mr Russell explain when she was last seen and appeal for anyone with information to contact Sussex Police.
Mr Baker, who is separated from his wife and living with their seven-year-old daughter, his partner and her own child in Henfield, hopes the posters will jog someone's memory or encourage his daughter to contact the family.
Police officers searching for Sherrie have spoken to detectives across the South-East as well as making checks with local government and national departments in an effort to trace the pair.
Inspector Any Kundert, from Brighton, said: "The more publicity, the better. Mr Baker's decision to put out these posters is admirable because any extra efforts might just produce results.
"Sussex Police take all missing people extremely seriously and a great deal of effort is being made to find Sherrie, who is a vulnerable person.
"This is a very difficult time for her family and we will always tell them what we are doing, try to support them and answer any questions they may have."
Mr Baker has been unable to return to work since his daughter's disappearance and began printing posters of Sherrie earlier this week.
The teenager is white, 5ft 6in, of medium build, with shoulder-length, brown hair and a freckly complexion.
Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999 quoting serial 527 of September 30.
