I am so angry with Maretta Jackson and her son Thomas demanding Deborah Stephens' dog be put to sleep ("Boy savaged by child-minder's dog", The Argus, October 5).
Who are they to make such a demand?
Mrs Stephens put her dog in another room and Thomas ignored orders not to go in there. Whether the dog has bitten before or not should not be the issue.
A dog which has never bitten before does not suddenly become vicious and attack people.
If I was sitting quietly in another and someone just came running in with no warning, I would be upset, especially if they started kissing me. The poor dog was just protecting himself and his environment.
Miss Jackson reckons Thomas has been around dogs all his life but Thomas says "not big dogs".
