It has been brought to our attention that Worthing Hospital is no longer allowed to carry out laprascopic surgery performed by Mr Singh and his excellent team.
My husband has recently undergone surgery of this nature in Worthing Hospital performed by Mr Singh.
It is proposed that this type of surgery is to be moved to Brighton. This does not make sense as we already have the equipment and the team to perform the surgery at Worthing.
By transferring this to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, it is going to cause immense hardship to a lot of people, and considering the bed situation at Brighton along with the MRSA problem, it does not bode well for a centre of excellence of care in cancer treatment.
The Sussex County has limited parking and this will cause even more road congestion and stress to the patient and carer. Nor is it within walking distance of Brighton Station.
Nor does the Sussex County have a star rating, whereas Worthing has two.
