A GP surgery has revamped its web site so patients can book an appointment online.

Pound Hill Medical Group in Crawley is one of the first surgeries in the town to offer the service but others are expected to follow shortly.

The e-appointments facility will allow patients to see a selection of available routine appointments online so they can make a booking at a time and on a date that suits them.

It is expected that as more patients book their appointments online it will be easier for other patients to phone up for an appointment during peak times.

Same-day emergency appointments can only be booked by telephone.

In addition to booking appointments, the web site will enable patients to ask for repeat prescriptions as well as make amendments to their personal details, such as phone numbers and changes of address.

Patients who want to use the online facility need to apply for a registration pack by emailing or writing to the Patient Services Manager at 1 Crawley Lane, Pound Hill, Crawley, RH10 7DX or call in person at either of the surgery's branches in Crawley Lane or Lewiston, Copthorne Bank.
