Ideally there would be no need for a woman only show. The idea that comic talent is somehow linked to your genital set-up not so much outmoded as just plain wrong.
Still, if the world was perfect there probably wouldn't be much need for comedy, either.
Funny Women has created a unique platform for women to extend their comic boundaries while raising money for causes that directly affect women. It's also a pretty good way of getting folk to laugh, winning awards at Edinburgh for doing just that.
The show features established acts alongside the best new talent from the Babycham Funny Women Awards 2003/05 and is a unique opportunity to be entertained by some of the finest female comics around.
This will be hosted by Karen Bailery who introduces Jo Caulfield (pictured), Angie Mcevoy, Wendy Wayson and Julie Jepson.
Starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £12 or £11, call 01273 709709.
