I disagree with Rev Rob Esdaile (Letters, September 28). To get 7,000-plus people - many taking time off work - to turn up for the Falmer march on a Monday evening was an excellent effort.

If Rev Esdaile wants proof of the Albion's need for a 22,000-seat stadium, what about the 30,000 fans who made the trip to Cardiff last year?

It may not be "Nimbyism" to argue the Falmer site is too small and badly served by transport links but it is, all the same, wrong.

As stated many times, Falmer is well served by road (A27) and has a railway station, something which no other alternative site discussed at the latest public enquiry can equal.

I also hope John Prescott listens to the arguments as suggested by Rev Esdaile because, if he does, Falmer will be the site for the stadium the Albion deserve.
