Nigel Worthington wants Norwich to kick-start their season by maintaining their 100 per cent record at Withdean.
The Canaries coped well with the unusual surroundings on their only previous visit, a 2-0 victory in August 2002.
Boss Worthington is desperate for a repeat as his side, relegated from the Premiership on the last day back in May, struggle to live up to their billing as favourites for an immediate return to the top flight.
"It's a little bit different," he said. "You have Portakabins to change in, which are excellent.
"Then you have got a big wide open space around the pitch and that isn't of any concern either.
"There is a decent surface and we have got to go and look to win. That's what we did last time we went there.
"We put in a good performance and won 2-0 and I'll be looking for more of the same.
"Brighton are used to the surroundings and they have got an experienced manager in Mark McGhee, so we have got to concentrate on doing our own job, and doing it well."
Norwich, to everybody's surprise, have not been doing very well so far.
Their only away win in 23 outings was their last, against arch-rivals Ipswich after Joe Royle's team had been reduced to ten men.
Tuesday's comeback victory at home to Peter Taylor's Hull eased them above Albion but that was their seventh match already at Carrow Road.
An exasperated Worthington said sorry to the fans following last Saturday's 1-0 home defeat by Reading.
The former Northern Ireland international got himself in trouble with supporters by stating he was not interested in their opinions regarding his tactics.
His remarks outraged some of the Carrow Road faithful and Worthington subsequently stated his regret at making the remarks.
His side responded to the rumpus with a first-half performance against Hull described by the manager as close to the best since he took over the reins from Bryan Hamilton in December 2000.
That should serve as a warning to the Seagulls, considering Norwich led the division for almost five months in the second half of their championship-winning season in 2003-2004.
"If you look at our results this season there are one or two wins in there, which is nice," Worthington said. "But we need a few more of them.
"There is a nice little picture developing but we need to keep it going. We know it's not going be easy because Brighton have got some good results this season.
"They have picked up some very good draws away from home and they are also a difficult side to beat at their own ground.
"It's down to us and our preparation. We have got to make sure we are fully focused on the situation."
Youssef Safri has been focused. He is proving to be the inspirational driving force at the heart of Norwich's midfield.
The Moroccan international, who equalised against Hull, is a devout Muslim.
Next week he will join millions around the world in celebrating Ramadan for a month of strict fasting and deep personal worship.
It means the 28-year-old won't be able to eat or drink during daylight hours.
"I can take no liquid, nothing," said Safri. "But I think everything will be all right because it is a great month in our life.
"There is no problem playing - if you do something for 20 years you get used to it.
"I have vitamins and will wake up early and have something to eat. I don't think it will be a problem.
"I am hoping from God that he will help us and help Norwich get to the play-offs. But I need to keep working hard and score and help the team to win."
