Brighton and Hove is a city which loves to party, so it's no surprise audiences were captivated by the first visit of Lady Salsa, a show with seductive Cuban beats and sexy dance routines.

Now there's another chance to join the party.

Lady Salsa charts Cuba's history from slavery to liberation, interweaving this compelling story with the development of the island's music.

Hundreds of years ago, while the slave trade was booming, many Africans arrived in Cuba bringing their own style of music and dance.

Over time these beats blended with the island's native Spanish guitar music and melodies to create the irresistible sound of salsa, rumba, mambo, cha-cha and macarena, too.

The vibrant world of rhythm, rum and revolution is conjured up by 20 of Cuba's hottest dancers clad in an array of glittering costumes and a funky ten-piece band.

A favourite at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000 and later transferred to the West End, Lady Salsa has also toured worldwide. Pop goddess Kylie is among those to have fallen under its spell. She said, "It's got everything you need for a wild night out."

Starts 7.45pm Monday to Thursday, 6pm and 9pm Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost £11-£24.50. Call 08700 606 650.
