So 7,000 Albion fans marched in favour of building a stadium at Falmer on Monday - marginally more than the capacity of Withdean.
If that was "the last big push" of the Albion's campaign, it wasn't the most convincing demonstration of the city's need for a 22,000-seater stadium.
Nonetheless, I agree with Peter Ward that "Mr Prescott has to say yes so the club can get on with its life" - so long as Prescott's "Yes" be to the right site.
It is not "nimbyism" to argue the available space at Falmer is too small, too badly served by the local road network and too close to the planned national park.
So let's hope "Two Jags" waits and listens to the arguments rather than looking for cheap party political advantage this week. And let's hope the Albion soon gets the stadium it deserves.
