Police have arrested 51 people as part of the security operation for the Labour Party conference.
Since September 17, 43 motorists have been caught by hi-tech vehicle number plate readers placed at strategic locations around Brighton and Hove.
The automatic number plate recognition system works by scanning plates and matching them against information stored in databases.
The 43 arrests were for a variety of offences, including burglary, driving while disqualified, drunk and disorderly and drugs. Eight remaining arrests were for suspected offences including assault and theft.
