A landmark hotel is to undergo a major refurbishment.
The 131-bedroom Hilton Brighton West Pier will be re-branded the Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront on October 4.
A main priority of the refurbishment will be to fit every bedroom with air conditioning.
Stardon UK, which bought the hotel in April, has signed a franchise agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group Plc, owners of the Holiday Inn brand.
Maurice Taylor, managing director of Stardon, said: "Holiday Inn is one of the most recognisable hotel brands in the world and gives our Brighton hotel access to a global sales network and sophisticated systems covering 3,500 hotels in nearly 100 countries.
"Quite simply, that provides unparalleled marketing potential for the hotel."
Mr Taylor already runs a number of Holiday Inn franchises and was recognised as among the best hoteliers in the world this year.
His Glasgow Theatreland hotel won the coveted Intercontinental Torchbearer Award for Outstanding Achievement in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
At the same ceremony, his hotel also won the Food and Beverage Excellence Award.
Stardon says it is aiming to apply similar standards to the Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront.
General manager of the hotel, Paul Wright, said: "The hotel already has a good reputation and the new brand will see extensive investment to bring it up to the standard expected of a top-quality Holiday Inn hotel."
