Dozens of businesses have signed up to a scheme to ensure high standards for customers.
A further 23 firms were welcomed as new members of East Sussex County Council's Buy With Confidence scheme, bringing the total number of members up to 138. Another 30 companies are going through the application process.
Traders undergo rigorous checks and an audit before they can join the scheme which aims to put shoppers in touch with approved traders who agree to provide high standards of customer service.
Councillor Bob Tidy, lead member for community services, said: "The Buy With Confidence initiative is a dream double for the community. It is good news for consumers who can be confident of a reliable and customer-friendly service if they use one of the businesses on the list and it is good news for traders as they benefit from the potential extra business of being an approved trader."
