I read the article about the imprisonment of Omar Deghayes in Guantanamo Bay with interest and dismay (The Argus, September 15).
Omar has been imprisoned since 2002 without charge. Why?
Surely, if he were guilty of terrorist activities, as the US claims, it would have collected enough evidence to charge him.
President Bush tells us he is determined to rid the world of evil. Yet they have not noticed the evil taking place in their own back yard.
I applaud The Argus for bringing Omar's plight to our attention.
You can do your bit by attending the Save Omar protest outside the Brighton Centre at 4pm on Sunday, September 25.
This could let the Government know caring people are not prepared to tolerate these atrocities.
