Adam Trimingham is absolutely right (The Argus, September 14).

Brighton and Hove should be delighted at the opportunity to have a building designed by one of the world's greatest living architects.

The new King Alfred will attract people and investment to Brighton and Hove, just as the Royal Pavilion (controversial at the time) helped transform Brighton from a fishing backwater to a destination resort.

We are lucky Brighton has been chosen for this internationally important development.

So come on people - be positive. Let's help, not hinder. Embrace change and the benefits it will bring.
