On behalf of Brighton and Hove Amnesty International Group, I would like to express our thanks to the people of Brighton and Hove for their generous support of our recent fund-raising activities.
The Amnesty International/Save Omar Deghayes campaign march and rally on Saturday, August 20, received donations of £17.83. Omar Deghayes' detention at Camp Delta, Cuba, continues.
The Amnesty International (AI) annual street collection in Hove on Saturday, September 3, raised £188.31. The AI annual street in Brighton on Saturday, September 10, raised £251.77.
After allowing for photocopying charges of £11.75 and postal expenses of £18.90, the annual street collections raised £409.43.
I would also like to express my thanks to all the volunteers who assisted, Brighton and Hove City Council and The Friends Centre in Ship Street, Brighton, for their help in holding the collections.
