There has been a great deal of criticism about Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company and its managing director Roger French (Letters, September 8).
As a semi-disabled pensioner, I use the buses daily and find them to be clean, regular and efficient. The drivers are polite and helpful and, considering the amount of anti-social behaviour they endure, very tolerant.
If fuel costs continue to escalate, it is inevitable this must be reflected in the ticket prices.
We're lucky in this city to enjoy such a good and affordable bus service.
On another positive note, I should like to say how much I enjoy the "I'm on the bus" campaign, which I understand is unique to our area.
My friend and I have just travelled on the "Jerry and Dolores" bus, whose cheeky picture made us laugh.
